Should I repair my key or replace it?
If the chip and electronics still work, repair is usually the better deal. If the fob is water-damaged or the chip has failed, we'll recommend a replacement and can do it in the same visit.
Can you fix a fob that got wet? Sometimes. If not, we program a replacement on the spot. Will the repaired key still start my car? Yes. We test it with you before we leave. My key turns hard in the ignition. Should I wait? It's better not to. A worn key or ignition can fail without warning and leave you stuck, so call before it gets worse.
